Mr. Cary Kalscheuer holds an MPA degree from California State University, Fullerton, and advanced through 7 positions while serving in 3 different city governments in Southern California over 29 years. He knows what it’s like to start as an Intern in the City Manager’s office and advance into multiple Senior Analyst and Management positions.
In his last position, Mr. Kalscheuer served as Assistant Director of Customer Care & Solutions for the City of Azusa’s Light & Water Department. In that role, Mr. Kalscheuer managed 25 people and successfully recruited staff to fill various positions. Prior to this role, he served as Assistant to the Director of Utilities and assisted the Director and four Assistant Directors to manage their division job specifications, position budgets and recruitments.
In 2018, Mr. Kalscheuer founded CityGovtJobs.com LLC, which launched Citygovjobs.com in December 2019. Citygovjobs.com had 4,000 registered job seeker users within 2 years and the website generated over 500,000 job views, however, was shut down in Oct 2022, due to lack of sales to city govts. Mr. Kalscheuer has continued to promote City Govt Careers on LinkedIn and has a follower base of over 16,000 connections, mostly City Govt Career Job Seekers.
